WATCH THEM DIE To Open For GWAR

April 9, 2004

Oakland-based purveyors of aggression WATCH THEM DIE will embark on a national U.S. tour alongside GWAR this May. The group kick off their touring insanity with a short West Coast run with DARKEST HOUR on April 9 and will wrap things up in early June. This quintet rose from the ashes of several highly influential underground bands — GRIMPLE, SCHLONG, ELDOPA (a.k.a. 1332),WORD SALAD, BUZZOV-EN and OJOROJO – and "will quickly command people’s attention with their overwhelming intensity and unconventionality," according to an official press release.

Vocalist Pat Vigil commented: "Attention all you metal motherfuckers, this is Pato from WATCH THEM DIE. I'm here to give warning of yet another North American onslaught. We are doing a handful of West Coast dates with DARKEST HOUR, shows that should not be missed. We will follow that by bringing violence and raw energy with us on a U.S. tour with the spine splitting GWAR. These shows should be not only an earful, but an eyeful as well. In early June we will be playing a headlining set at the Showcase Theatre in Corona, CA. followed by a show at the L.A. Gates of Metal Festival. We hope you will join us in bringing back the true feeling of Thrash Metal. Rip an eye out and put it on our web site as we will try to keep it updated with dates and venues. Thanx for your support and we hope to see you on the road. Fuck Your Enemies."
